Hello, I'm Brit Waye.
I'm a fine arts painter, capturing observed moments of beauty from my daily life. Guided by intuition, and responsive to emotion and feeling, I create soulful textural oil paintings, fine art prints, and custom commissioned artworks.
I live in Downtown Overland Park, Kansas with my husband, tabby cat, and chocolate lab. We love visiting the local farmer's market, going for walks, gardening, cooking, and living slowly. I think it's most important to stop and smell the roses and give gratitude for the littlest moments that are good and beautiful.
Art Meets Interiors
I received my BFA in Painting from The University of Kansas in 2011. Over the following decade, I worked in the KC Metro area as a graphic and environmental designer. The 2020 pandemic saw my return to the art studio and painting, where I then established Moon Sign Studio, LLC.
Fusing my love of fine art with the strategy of design guides my approach to creating artwork that inspires people and adds colorful life to their favorite spaces.
My work is inspired by a loving fascination with the natural world. Life cycles of flora, seasonal change, and the peace that can be found in the most simple and quiet moments.
